Flex Duct Shortage?

We were looking for flex duct for a small project and was told there is a 8-10 weeks leak time for flex duct. Flex duct! Are you seeing that? I am so over "shortages" and elevated prices for everything. I'm ready to sell everything and move to a beach and sell ice cream.

    There is a shortage of cream too.

    Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

    What does that have to do with shortages and flex duct?

    I just found this out last week after I cut the insulation off some old flex laying in the trash pile to soak up some glycol I'd spilled when cutting loose an old heat pump. The tin banger on site made sure and let me know how scarce flex is!
