    Those birdie body temps aren't getting to the sensor. Too much nest insulation and mud!
    Wait for the fledging. Spare the swallows. Then take nest down. Put a platform over sensor.
    Swallows eat LOTS of flying insects. You are lucky to have them.

    @psb75 and @JohnNY The boiler room is right next to a creek overgrown with flowering blackberry shrubs, wild mint and other wildflowers; currently teeming with insects that the swallow is feasting on to feed her and her brood. She was very patient with our comings and goings and we are not about disturbing her, whether she be African or European. I'll see if I can get an ID.

    Might be a great way to protect and insulate the sensor... thing, co-existance is the only future, after all.
