Hi,
I would like to measure the hot water temperature coming from my tank without modifying the copper pipe. I have read about wrapping some type of temperature gauge or using an infrared device. Does anyone have a product that recommend to get an accurate temperature reading?

If you are just trying to spot check pipe temps wrap them with electric tape and shoot it with an IR Gun.
For data logging or adding sensors a sensor ziptied to the pipe then wrapped with foil tape and insulation works pretty well.
