Question about thermostat wiring on new boiler

I’m installing a new Buderus boiler for radiant floor heat and was about to hook up the red thermostat wire to “R” and white wire to “W” but noticed that there is a factory installed jumper between both contacts. Do I just leave this jumper in place and proceed with the wiring connections? Thanks!

That jumper will make the thermostat irrelevant if that is where you are supposed to connect it. What do the directions say?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

There is nothing in the directions about connecting the thermostat wires. All it says is “see wiring diagram.” There’s a picture of the jumper in place in one of the manual diagrams which confused me more.

What does it say where there is a triangle with a 2 in it?
There was an error rendering this rich post.

The triangle with the 2 is the thermostat wires, per the instruction diagramSTEVEusaPA said:What does it say where there is a triangle with a 2 in it?0
