I had an old piece of granite left over from a kitchen remodel that I put on top of my bedroom radiator. Skinny cat now has a heated bed. She errs at me as I walk by, wish I could have that life.

My large Maine Coon cat loves my cast iron baseboards. The only thing he prefers to them is climbing around on the monoflow piping and near boiler piping.

@PC7060 are those new rads or did you have them tanked and polyester paint sprayed? Wow they look clean.
@betweentheframe - thanks, those are original 1928 radiators that I had sand blasted and powder coated. All came out beautiful. Movers are key when to get the units in and out of house!

When I started the project, radiators had combination of the 1930s gold metal coats and many many layers of paint.

All part of a 5 year renovation we are just wrapping with renovation of 39 original windows (ongoing) and replaced of the massively oversized gas boiler with a FireTube modcon (done)

Here’s a really large radiator that’s also a cat favorite but she’s really not particular!   :D.

    Haha, that’s a happy cat!
Push in storms are nice. I went with Vel-A-Luke storm windows from West window. Insert into original storm window recess. Very clean and protect original windows. Also approved by Virginia Department of Historic Preservation.
sorry about the thread jacking @hot_rod
