Our second floor bathroom has a small space behind the radiator and the bathtub which gets very cozy in the morning as the system comes out of setback. The Lovely Naoko got a couple pictures of Lucky, my 16-year-old cat, taking advantage of this.

Enjoy!

My old cat used to lie on the rug in front of the dining room radiator on cold days, she made it to 19.

Years ago I went down to look at something in the cellar at night. It had been a pretty cold stretch and I noticed a breeze down there. When I looked around I found the neighborhood stray was curled up on top of the boiler. He was a big old Tom who could be ferocious if he was crossed (as the dogs in the neighborhood found out). i used to put food out on the back porch for himThere was a cracked pane in a back cellar window which he had pushed in to get into the warm. he looked at me and yawned, I let him be and went back upstairs.

The next day I replaced that pane with a rubber flap so he could come and go, he only went into the cellar on really cold nights.

What kind of radiator is that? I see one pipe connected near the top.

That cat could be put to good use!!

An old timer told me when looking for a leaking wet return under a concrete floor it will be where a cat would sleep on it or walk around in your stocking feet till you find it

Unfortunately, Lucky is no longer with us. She made it to 19, which is almost 100 in human years. I miss her.
