Wow that is cool. I have a FLIR 1, that plugs into the camera the same way , but I think that SEEK looks like a does a much better job.

Got this on sale at Amazon for $150. Plugs into the micro USB on my phone. Very pleased for what I paid!

Both of these are radiant slab with throw rugs in the images. Carpet doesnt seem to have a huge insulating effect as I'd thought.

Is the color chart on the left side fairly accurate?

When I built these 5- 4X8 test panels with different types of dry radiant I covered 1/2 with carpet the other 1/2 was just bare 3/4" AdvanTech.
The carpet, no pad, did lower the surface temperature, but it did even out the striping effect, the carpet seemed to wick away the hot spot over the plates and move it across from plate to plate.

I think wood, really any material over a plate system helps the "spread".

Pad under the carpet cost you more surface temperature and output.

You have found just the tip of the iceburg.
Hydronic tubes, electric heat mats, stud finder, storm vs san sewer pipes wet drywall, bad insulation, overloaded circuit breakers, bad battery connectors, bad solar panels, which wheel or pump bearing is making all that noise. The list just goes on and on.
