Need a knowledgeable steam contractor in CT

There are no contractors listed for CT. Please help me find one. It’s not easy finding a good steam contractor.
I recently had a new gas steam boiler installed and I’m having problems gettin some radiators to come on and some only get like warm. The installer doesn’t know how to solve the issue and doesn’t really care that I’m cold.

Post some pictures. Where about in Ct are you located?? They probably screwed up the near boiler piping. Did they skim the boiler??

Located in Bristol CT. It’s a 3 family house. This is for the 2nd floor. I don’t have any pictures.

Are their 3 boilers or 1 boiler for the whole place??

3 boilers. This issue is for the second floor. It’s a brand new Weil McLain gas steam boiler. Didn’t have issues until I switched to gas.

Just for your information, it’s not the gas’s fault. Did you make the final payment yet?

Yes I paid him in full and on early. I always want my contractors to get paid because When I need their help I want them to be there for me. But I need a new heating contractor.

Edit: OK I looked and there’s no one within 100 miles of you. I know where you are, up in ESPN-land. Just how cold are you? Are you the 2nd floor resident or are you the property owner (or both, like a condo)?

Yes I am in espn land. It’s in Bristol,CT. It’s for a tenant on the second floor. One radiator isn’t working at all ( disabled persons room) One was getting only luke warm but was working last night. Today I changed both air vents to vent rite model 1 adjustable. I set the setting to 3. Not sure what to set the valve to??? We’ll see what happens when he runs the heat. I contacted @Charlie from wmass but he’s booked up until late January. @ethicalpaul where are you located?

I'm surprised it's only late January...I wouldn't have been surprised if you'd said March sometime.

In the meantime... make sure that the radiator valves are fully open. Then set your Ventrites as open as they can be (you won't want to leave them there) and see if you get any heat at all, either in the radiators or the pipes leading to them. If you do, you'll probably want to close them back down to perhaps 3, and then play with them to get the heat where you need it.

Do you have access to the boiler? If so, make sure the pressure isn't set too high -- 1.5 cutout is ample.

I’m in NJ (used to live in CT) but I’m not a contractor. You said it heated well before the new boiler, right?

We can help you maybe but pictures would sure help of your new boiler, from multiple angles, taken from far enough away to show floor to ceiling, and then close shots of the controls.
