I’m retiring three radiators at the main should I plug or vent them off Tees?

I have a One pipe residential steam system. I have retired three radiators at main. What would be best to simply plug them at Tees or put 45 degree fittings and Hoffman 75 main vents for more venting?
They are $120 each. Any thoughts would be nice thanks0 -
Well, you have these two threads in "geothermal" -- which has nothing to do with steam heat. But that's OK. In regard to your question: the retired radiators should be plugged. However, you are looking at retiring a total of 4 radiators, and you may find that as a result your boiler is seriously oversized and may give you some cycling and efficiency problems. This should be considered; unless there is a very good reason to eliminate the radiators, I would think twice.Br. Jamie, osb
