What about leaking valve stems on the valves that come with this type of system?

I only saw two valves and they were leaking pretty bad

Can you repack them? Or are they the type which has no packing? Photo?

They have no packing.. they are packless and won’t leak for a lifetime!!

That’s what the paperwork said 100 years ago..

So how do they seal? Is it some early form of o-ring or just tapered metal on metal with grease or what?
