It occurred to me that after a knuckleheaded install a few years back and stumbling on this site in my search for answers, that knucklehead combined with this site and its generous members did so much to help me help myself. Highlights include:

- How a modern boiler should be piped
- What a pressuretol is and how to set it correctly
- How to calibrate a pressuretrol
- What skimming is; how it's done
- Always run the boiler after filling/adding water to drive out the oxygen
- How to repack a bonnet and what to use for packing
- Importance of main venting
- Proper pH
- How to install a low pressure gauge
- How to change gauge glass (and look out for **** "brass" washers, you know who you are!)
