Short Section of Level Pipe (not pitched)

I am attempting a single pipe system radiator installation this weekend. There is existing pipe in the crawl space that previously plumbed to a baseboard steam radiator on the opposite wall. It will make it easier to get a square connection at the union between valve and radiator if I have a short run (~12") of level (unpitched) pipe connected to the vertical leg that goes through up through the floor. Would short run of level pipe be a recipe for steam hammer?

Use 2 90° elbows to allow the pipe under the floor to pitch and the pipe going through the floor to be plumb. See picture.

Swing 90 did the trick. The diagonal pipe was existing. I used a 45 and 3 90's to get up to the radiator. The pipe insulation is kinda crappy looking, but it works.

Looks awesome! What type of paint? A lot of prep?0

Thanks for the compliments.
Prep was leak test, power wash, sand, and wash again, sun dried thoroughly. Many coats of standard walmart krylon applied. No high temp.
