Hey all, prices have dropped a bit on NYC hotels for Saturday. Here is a good one:

    https://www.priceline.com/relax/at/40408/from/20190824/to/20190825/rooms/1

Look for it as an Express Deal (where the name is not revealed) and it should be about $108

    :( I’m bummed.
Due to circumstances I don’t wish to bore anyone with, I can’t go.
    I wish I knew sooner as I could’ve given/donated my ticket.
I was so looking forward to this.
I’m sure all attending will have a great time.

    Thanks. Nothing bad.
I’m sure everyone had a great time.
Look forward to an online recap and some pics. Maybe a new thread where attendees talk about their experience.

I figured out how the steam system works at the Mechanics and tradesmen building. Dan confused me when he said the steam goes up both pipes. I had to think about that. I saw the thermostatic air vents on a couple of radiators. Aha!!! It hit me. The system is basically a one pipe steam system with two pipes going to it. The condensate flows down both the feed and return pipes. The steam goes up both the feed and return pipes. The system is controlled by the air vents. Cut off either one of the two pipes on any radiator and the radiator will heat just fine.

Thanks Erin for putting on a great event!! I loved it. I felt like I was back in the game again. After taking a few years off it felt great to challenge my mind again and think in hydronics and steam. My video library inside my head still works!!
