This event brings together some of the sharpest people in the hydronic heating community for an afternoon of roundtable discussions, sharing, and all-around fun. We'll have lunch and drinks (beer/wine/soft drinks) and great conversation. The only way you won’t get something out of Wetstock is if you stay home.
Tickets are required for all attendees (including spouses if they wish to join the fun). This event is limited to 120 people and tickets will sell out quickly, so get yours soon!
All proceeds from this event will go to The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen.
Founded in 1785, the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen supports New York City's oldest technical school and second oldest library.
The beautiful, historic building of The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen is the perfect setting for Wetstock. Learn more about how some of your friends in the Heating Help community restored its steam heating system here.

For people not familiar with NYC, it can be quite daunting.
So ask questions about restaurants (might as well book the good ones now if they let you), shows (might be too late, so don't wait) and general logicstics. Makes for less hassle and a more enjoyable experience.
I myself spend way too much time up there and my wife spends even more (she loves it). She'll be seeing a matinee, and we'll be hitting our favorite great Italian restaurant-Tony DiNapoli's in Times Square. Huge portions of great food, then walk it off to the train station .
Also, make sure you download your favorite ride-sharing app-Uber-Lyft, etc. Cabs are easy, subway is easy, cheaper (dirtier), but avoid buses. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Edit: Tony's DeNapoli sounds great!

We're going to be just four blocks away from the American Radiator Building (now the Bryant Park Hotel). Stop by for a drink in the basement bar. It was once the showroom for American radiators and Ideal boilers. Here's more about that wonderful building: https://untappedcities.com/2017/05/08/the-top-10-secrets-of-the-american-radiator-building-in-midtown-nyc/

What topics would you like to discuss at Wetstock? Each topic will appear on a tent card at each table, and we'll be changing the topics throughout the day.

@Erin Holohan Haskell how many tables do you estimate will be there? I will brainstorm some topics. I’ve never been to an even such as this before so I’m not sure how broad or narrow the topics should be.Never stop learning.0

Great topics! Keep them coming. We'll set each topic up on a table and then switch the topics throughout the afternoon. We'll probably have 10-12 tables.

It just keeps getting better!
Another tidbit about The General Society building. You're going to see some flags in glass cases in our library where we'll be having Wetstock. Members of the Society formed a volunteer group of engineers at the start of the Civil War. They carried those flags into battle many times and brought them home at the end of the war and put them into those cases.
That group of brave New Yorkers gave birth to what what is now the Army Corp of Engineers.Retired and loving it.0 -
How about technician trouble shooting techniques, how did you get in to the trade, what is your training background?
