flow in fin tube baseboard heat

Does running more than 4gpm in a standard high output fin tube base have any effect on the maximum output
Or is the maximum achieved at 4 gpm and anything faster just stays capped at the maximum output

    The only thing changing flow rate will do -- within reason, that is -- is change the delta T across the radiation. In principle, a smaller delta T, for a given input temperature, will give slightly higher output, since it is the average of the input and output temperatures which determine the output.
