has anyone tried taking one on a commercial flight? I need to but dont want it confiscated.

    I flew frontier a few months ago with an analyzer and bunch of other gauges and tools. Wrapped it up in a hard shell checked bag with no issues.

    Mine was a testo 320. Did not think about the battery, or my extra laptop battery. Maybe just got lucky....

    I fly with battery powered meters all the time. Just protect it with a solid case and check it you should have no issues at all!
