Strange DHW set up

Hello everyone,
I am looking at renting a property and was sent a pic of the boiler. I have not seen it in person yet. It's a Weil-Mclain WGO-4 with the Carlin E-Z fire. The system is a monoflow system with an extra baseboard zone. The DHW seems to be a tankless coil - which makes sense for the era of home - but in that case the large white tank on the right is confusing. Any ideas? Hopefully this system won't be a debacle.

    They probably use the electric as extra storage in the winter with the electricity turned off. They may use the electric on it's own in the summer so the boiler does not have to stay hot.
