Frozen gas line inside a RUDD heater.

in Gas Heating
I have a RUDD MUA Model # CFA-M 236 with a variety of gas line sizes ranging from 2” to 2 1/2”. There is ice all through the inside of of the 2” + gas piping going through the control cabinet. Any thoughts on how the ice / moisture got inside the lines? This is a natural gas system. Thank you

    I would call your gas supplier, never seen that myself....

    There were stories during the recession of disgruntled customers pumping water into the gas mains. It is either something like that or some mismanagement on the part of the supplier.

    2 to 2 1/2" gas lines in the unit? Do you mean the vent or intake piping?

    Yes, by all means call the gas company. Sounds like there problem
