Took a break from steam boilers today

Options
Replaced two York 5 ton rooftops with two York 5 ton rooftops lol. Both units had bad heating and cooling circuits and were 1995 vintage, so they were do for replacement. The unit on the right had been on fire because a knucklehead decided it was a good idea to jump out the rollout switch because it kept tripping smh. Anyway two basic easy exact replacements, good for a Saturday job.

Looks like they were overdue. Looks like they fit the same curbs?? No curb adapter needed. That's pretty good for 23 year replacement

After the crane left at about 9:00 it started snowing hard for the rest of the day. We made the mistake of going to scrap yard first only to come back and find the roof and my tools covered in about 2” of snow. Yeah I was cold and wet by the end of my day.

Yeah York hasn’t changed the footprint in like 40 years.

Nice feature. We did a York to Luxaire this summer for that very reason. Curb adapters are pricey and add height to a usually taller unit. Actually same old unit, though ours didn't have a condenser coil!
