Steamer repipe

We repiped this oversized 3 year old boiler and added 2 stage firing to cut down on the short cycling.
Going back tomorrow to upgrade the main venting, skim the boiler and combustion analysis.

Hard to believe the original installer put a skim port on after botching everything else...

How hard to get the original risers out? I always dread that part. Did you have to cut them?

The original install was a tech that I used to work with.
They weren't to bad since they were in only 3 years. No I wrenched them out the 3' did the job.

2 qs: at what op pressure low fire kicks in and what gas valve did you use on it?

Low fire kicks in at 8oz and it's a Honeywell 8345Q4563 2 stage gas valve.

is there a certain distance you need to kick down before raises back up to your controls? also, is the chimney lined?

Just have to drop down enough to create a water seal/trap. Yes the chimney is lined
