Are they worth it on a small nozzle size or will these just plug instead of a nozzle ?

I've never used one. A general then a spin on, both at the tank.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

I've had excellent luck with what @STEVEusaPA said. Add a vacuum gauge on spin-on and you have the best system I can think of.

You could also run a nozzle filter, and just inspect it with annual cleaning. Nothing should get by the dual filters, but what's a little extra insurance? I just may not change it if it looks good.

    YMMV
