Yes, he was old school, no bull. Looked out for the underdog and the little guy. If it weren't for Dan, putting us all together via HH, The Wall, Wet Stocks, Oil Heat Cares, et cetera. I likely would never have crossed paths with great friends I have made here. Lost a crazy amount of people lately....just keep coming back to the same thoughts......leave your mark, leave a good legacy...Rest in Peace, Glenn. God bless Mad Dog

Didn't he retire from Burnham a few months ago after learning he had cancer and was about to undergo some heavy treatment? Seems I recall a post on here.

If any of you want to send condolences his address is:

    Glenn Stanton
    38 Prospect Ave.
    Wakefield, RI 02879-3523

I am sure his family will be blessed to hear from all of us.

He will surely be missed, I have known him for many years all the way back to when he was a counter man at United Supply here in RI. He used to attend the night training classes we ran at Providence Gas. I used to do those classes and Glenn was always a fast learner.

He was always ready to help out even sometimes when he took some flack.

Will be dearly missed by a lot of people.

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.

As Dan stated - he cared... no doubt about it. If the building was down and there was no heat, he would stay until it was fixed. I remember a story he told me about a Series 5 steam boiler in the NY area that was surging. The contractor was convinced there was something wrong with the boiler. Glenn went down on a Saturday and spent 8 hours cleaning the boiler. A few days later, the contractor called him to say thanks and that the boiler was running perfect and that he learned the right way to clean a steam boiler. I loved that story.
