Nothing to do with heating, but a lot of fun, nonetheless! This is my first pipe project.

And you can even screw it down so it won't tip over in an earthquake! Doesn't get much better.All Steamed Up, Inc.

Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun to make! All the threads have locktite on them so there is no danger of unwanted rotation. Well, except for the floor flanges that serve as the 4 legs. I left them loose for leveling purposes. I glued some felt to the bottom so they wouldn't scratch the floor. All the shelves and top is made from clear cedar with a lacquer finish. I cleaned the pipe with lacquer thinner and then sprayed a couple coats of lacquer finish on them so nobody gets dirty paws from touching. Because people touch everything they see.1

What is that, 3/4"?
Only a noob builds a shelf out of 3/4. A real artistic works only in 1/2" or 1", everyone knows that.
Sorry. reminded me of an episode of Green Acres where they accuse him of having a fake piece of art because it was built out of the wrong size pipe. The artist was strictly a 1/2" man or something.
It looks really good @Harvey Ramer To be honest, I want one now. Did you do the woodwork as well? You could do matching end tables, coffee table etc as well.Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

Haha, @ChrisJ It's 1" pipe with all American fittings. Does that make me not a noob?
And yes, I did the wood work. There are some flaws but I won't bother to point them out.1 -

I noticed the Ward fittings immediately.Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

I'm going to guess intended purpose. Shoes, and gloves.?0

Correct you are.0

Hmmm I like it. However I couldn't put more than dress shoes on that fine piece.0
-
Sounds like the next project will be a side piece for work boots.0

Hydronic Boot dryer sounds like a good idea to me Chris.0

One of the best things I ever got was my boot dryer.0

There is some serious coin being made out there with those types of ideas.

I am confused, which is the supply and return. Won't the wood block flow?0
-
@Jason
That, my friend, is a trade secret. I'd have to kill you if I told you.
@hot rod
Thanks!
This piece is neither cross nor is it a dresser
@Stephen Minnich
I know I dumped some serious coin into making it! If you don't have anything to do sometime, check the price of clear cedar. I could never sell it for what I have in it. I plan on making it a gift to someone.0 -

Industrial is the trend.
Bowling alley. 12 bucks a foot. Up to 20' lengths. 2 1/2" thick 3' 6" wide. Never realized different sections of the lane go from maple to spruce.2
