Nothing to do with heating, but a lot of fun, nonetheless! This is my first pipe project.

    I dig it! Any problem with the shelves rotating having a single pivot point?

    And you can even screw it down so it won't tip over in an earthquake! Doesn't get much better.

    Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun to make! All the threads have locktite on them so there is no danger of unwanted rotation. Well, except for the floor flanges that serve as the 4 legs. I left them loose for leveling purposes. I glued some felt to the bottom so they wouldn't scratch the floor. All the shelves and top is made from clear cedar with a lacquer finish. I cleaned the pipe with lacquer thinner and then sprayed a couple coats of lacquer finish on them so nobody gets dirty paws from touching. Because people touch everything they see.

    What is that, 3/4"?

    Only a noob builds a shelf out of 3/4. A real artistic works only in 1/2" or 1", everyone knows that.

    Sorry. reminded me of an episode of Green Acres where they accuse him of having a fake piece of art because it was built out of the wrong size pipe. The artist was strictly a 1/2" man or something.

    It looks really good @Harvey Ramer To be honest, I want one now. Did you do the woodwork as well? You could do matching end tables, coffee table etc as well.

    Haha, @ChrisJ It's 1" pipe with all American fittings. Does that make me not a noob?
    And yes, I did the wood work. There are some flaws but I won't bother to point them out.

    Yep, sure does.
    I noticed the Ward fittings immediately.

    Hmmm I like it. However I couldn't put more than dress shoes on that fine piece.

    Sounds like the next project will be a side piece for work boots.

    Boot drier.
    Plumbed out of 2" black iron and must dry both boots together.

    One of the best things I ever got was my boot dryer.

    There is some serious coin being made out there with those types of ideas.

    I am confused, which is the supply and return. Won't the wood block flow?

    @Jason
    That, my friend, is a trade secret. I'd have to kill you if I told you.

    @hot rod
    Thanks!
    This piece is neither cross nor is it a dresser :)

    @Stephen Minnich
    I know I dumped some serious coin into making it! If you don't have anything to do sometime, check the price of clear cedar. I could never sell it for what I have in it. I plan on making it a gift to someone.

    Someone seriously needs to build a dresser in the shape of a cross now.

    Industrial is the trend.
    Bowling alley. 12 bucks a foot. Up to 20' lengths. 2 1/2" thick 3' 6" wide. Never realized different sections of the lane go from maple to spruce.
