I'm starting to think this is were Weil-McLain gets a bad name, its readily available and NEVER SEEEMS TO BE PIPED PROPERLY, or up to OUR standards. I guess another shoemaker acting as a plumber............

I'm 100% sold on using an air trap and a 0.015" snubber to protect my sensitive gauges and switches now. Water caused way too many issues.

I still have my required safety Pressuretrol and 30 PSI useless gauge on a pigtail, but nothing I actually use.

We fired up the boiler to test it and it purred like a kitten! Thank You Ezzy for making it right and thank you all for helping me learn a great deal about steam heat! The souls of dead men live in all of you!

Ezzy explained to me that it is a trap instead of a pigtail. It is better for the gauges and easier to clean/service.
