Radiant heat bathrooms shower walls

Installing radiant heat under tile floors with extruded plates screwed on under side of sub floor. Two questions leave 2 inch space between insulation and plates or run the insulation titght. Other question will probably run tubes behind main shower wall. Keep loop lengths in mind, is one circuit ok or should it be split to keep the floor warmer without overheating bathroom. Thanks for all thoughts. What do most people use for water proofing shower system with hydronic heat, ? Schulter or redband, or ????

No need for an air gap with aluminum plates.
As far as the shower wall goes: it's gonna heat the room just like the floor does. It's btu output, compared to the floor, will depend upon how the emitter is constructed and the water temp supplied. If it's similar in construction with the floor (plates, proper insulation, etc.), then it will have slightly less output per square foot than the floor.
I recommend keeping 1/2" loops at 250' or less to avoid needing a larger circ.Bob Boan
You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.1
