I get so mad I could spit. This must be the same guy that convinced @josieT to replace her system. His comment is so condescending and patronizing, as if Steamies were a bunch of Luddites.Two-pipe Trane vaporvacuum system; 1466 edr

Commented...probably get deleted by him, but oh well. I hate people putting garbage out on the net. He freely states he knows nothing about steam then says rip it out? If you don't know then shut your mouth about it. I don't know how a rocket ship works, but I don't advocate destroying them all.0

What a joke...everybody is an expert, even when they know very little. Sounds like Kermit...0

I believe the same person has some U-tubes of installing CSST. That stuff has enough pit falls as it is, let alone free advice.0

It's so sad, it's funny.
How many 2-pipe steam systems are converted to hot water? I have been tempted to do this a few times, but have never done one. And I've never seen it done. From the way he talks, it's an every day thing.
To say the obvious, that "smaller than half-inch outlet" would be plenty for most if not all radiators, no?
He also doesn't mention taking out the steam trap element for the conversion.
And 1-1/2" or 1-1/4" coming out of the floor with a bell reducer to 1/2"? There's room for that?

Here's another plumbing tip from him:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=UU1jzyBeg7ExKjcnegPLSZHA&v=798VNLpkphU
Looks like cut and paste is not foolproof!
In the video, he describes a patch for a leaking soil pipe using torch down roofing.
YouTube seems hard for me to navigate.--NBC0 -
When you see his other videos, his aim becomes pretty clear: buy a cheap foreclosure, and do just enough to get it through the home inspection, in order to make the sale.
He has no interest in the longevity of his work, or even the priciple of making the house a showcase of his old world repair talents. The bottom line is the lowest cost possible to get it sold.
This winter, some of the new owners of his houses will be here, asking for advice as to why their system leaves them cold!--NBC0 -
Well... I posted a relatively tame comment and it got deleted
So I posted another one more short and to the point.0
