I have a vision pro 8000 for steam heat. I have it set to 1 cph per hour cycle. However went it calls for heat when there is a 2 or 3 degree setback it keeps running and short cycling until the temp is met. Is there any other setting I need to adjust. System type I set to 3 Heat only. Its a oil steam furnace. I just want it to run once for the hour fill radiators with heat then shut off.
Thanks

Any thermostat setting is just a pre-programmed "guess". It's not an accurate setting. Short cycling is typically caused by an oversized boiler, undersized venting, or improper piping.0

or, sometimes, improper pressure settings. Though less often than a somewhat oversized boiler or undersized venting, which are the two most common culprits.JStar said:Any thermostat setting is just a pre-programmed "guess".
