Kinda tough to do
when you give no indication at all as to what your problem is.Br. Jamie, osb

This is the 12th thread you've started in one week
about your thermostat. ****?0 -
Complicated
Two wires AND a knob, no end of mischief can come from something like that.

Buck up
I think you either need to give a complete description of the components and the issue you are having or buck up and do some reading.
No one can help you if you are not specific.
A drawing would help.

Wire
What is the other end of the wire attached too?
Do you have and know how to use a multimeter?

When did it stop working?
Is this a new t-stat?
The wire goes to your mechanical room. Can you post a picture?

over shoot...
it may just be that the boiller fired off and it ran the heat into the room and it is now there trying to get out the emitter as quick as it can , if you are in an apartment buildingg most likely you are thinking to open a window ...dont. it is probably not your thermostat per se.0
