Possible Substitution for Radiator?

Fin Tube Article and...
Thanks; I read it but hope there is no quiz. So far the pipe with small vent sounds like my best bet. If it doesn't work, I can turn off the supply valve and have a cool (temperature-wise) room. By the way, and this may be a stupid question, what is a good diameter for the pipe?0 -
Same size as valve
If you go bigger than the supply pipe, be sure to use an eccentric reducer when you connect it, or it will bang.
If you are tempted to go bigger for some reason, I think a small radiator would be a better idea, like others have said. Output is related directly to square feet of surface area.0 -
Haven't you heard?
Susan, everthing you read on the internet is true! I've got a date with french model toniight to prove it!

Noel, Thanks again. I guess my diameter question wasn't as stupid as I thought0 -
cheap blanket ?
SusanC used the wrong blanket. There are blankets that steam can't melt. Why not shut off the radiator & use a wee space heater ?0 -
Space Heater
Thanks; I've disqualified blankets but there is a strong possibility I will go for the space heater.0
