The tax bill signed into law this month by President Barack Obama reduced the amount of money available for a range of home energy-efficiency measures, including propane appliances. Propane furnaces and water heaters had been eligible for a 30% credit; under the new law, claims are capped at $150 for furnaces and $300 for water heaters. "We're sorely disappointed that Congress did not see fit to make the incentives more generous," said Kateri Callahan, president of the Alliance to Save Energy. Los Angeles Times/Washington Post Writers Group (12/26) <img src="http://cdn.smartbrief.com/images/briefs2/common/sm_share.gif" width="34" height="14" alt="Right-click here to download pictures. A SIMPLE CHART?

    Tim,

Do you know of a simple chart that lists the new tax credits? I went to the gov's energy star site, but could only find the expiring one.

Does $300.00 for water heaters mean DHW, a boiler, or both?

No I think the bill that

determined these figures was just signed. So there will not be any exact coverage information available. I do know that the homeowner tax credit has been drastically cut from what it was.
