    Flame Sensing

Does the control use the same cable for flame rectification or is there a separate flame rod?

You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.

    ignition cable

two separate spark paks. one for main pilot assembly & one for sensor on opposite side burner. cable runs from spark directly to auxilary sensor.  separate cable from other spark pak to pilot burner on other side.  thanks. bob

    Bob the answer is yes

especially when the sensing is on a separate wire. I have in fact for an overnight used a piece of coat hanger to replace a sensing rod for overnight.

If sensing and spark are single rod (Honeywell is proprietary on that system) before I would leave it I would take some microamp readings to insure 2 to 10 microamps typically 3 to 5 is normal.
