My Parish's  needs a new Hot Water replacement boiler. Current boiler is a Federal # FMA-1425 - Carlton gun 13.80 fire rate- gross output 1553000- #2 oil. This will be used as the new main( there is a auxiliary boiler)to also make DHW during winter months. Would greatly appreciate any info as per a replacement unit  Burnham three pass-Peeless-WM-Smith  etc. from the commercial side. Thanks so much Jim

    Agreed

Buderus has (arguably) the best cast iron boilers on the market. Adding staging and outdoor reset should substantially reduce fuel consumption.

    Absolutely not true!

Burnham sells more boilers in the USA than Buderus by far,so somebody must like them!  On the oil side,I'm pretty much a Buderus guy but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the MPO and the Megasteam is hands down the best resi steam boiler out there.
