This is probably the dieletric from the capacitors(??)but I thought the new ignitors were epoxy packed. The transformers from older burners would ooze brown goo sometimes...when I was young, they had PCB's...(geez alert!)

I have a beckett burner with a capacitor dripping oil. the unit is less than a year old. mn: af 11 100 ,is this a common issue? Is there a common micro ferad aftermarket replacement that fits in the cover. Any disasembly tips would be helpful.

never seen that.Are you sure it's not an fuel oil leak?All Beckett components have a 5 year warranty

beckett burner

definitly not fuel oil. Very thick sticky clear odorless oil. The capacitor sits directly under the motor with a plastic cover.
