and get a heating pro in there....any pro for now. It sounds like you could have a blocked pigtail or non-working pressuretrol - THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! THat's more than 15 pounds of steam exiting that valve. Keep family and pets out of basement until it is corrected. Mad Dog

Steam system one pipe
The main relief on the furance keeps lifting filling the basement with steam. The raditor vents all seem to be working reliving the pressure/steam This has never happen before Boiler is probably 40 years old Its a one pipe steam system I have replaced 4 of the 8 vents on the raditors

Pigtail /pressuretrol
Thanks mad Dog you hit the nail on the head It was a clogged pigtail I had the Gas company come do it took about 15 minutes and it was all fixed next time will do it myself
