Banging Pipes
I had the gas company put in a new circulator pump 3 days ago. The pipes are now making a banging noise. It is always in a different area of the house also. Any help is appreciated0 -
let me guess...
sounds like you have zone valves in the system...what circ. pump was in there and what did they replace it w/? I bet it is too big....kpc

Its a Taco--Same one that was in there--I double checked it0 -

maybe they introduced some air into the system when they put the pump in. Check the fast-fill and see if the can vent on the air scoop is working, as they tend to fail over time. Just a little bit of air can make things noisy.0 -
pipes noisy
the pipes on the 1st flr. very noisy not banging, but like a loud noisy continous noise but only on the 1st flr. apt. is duplex with one theromstat, can i turn off vave downstairs and stll have heat on top flr?0
