i just replaced my old boiler with a new munchkin and super stor indirect. i installed a taco 5000 mixing valve on the on the hot water discharge. the tank is maintaining 140* temp and i have the valve opened fully but i am only getting 110* domestic water. i know the valve is working because if i adjust it to mix, the discharge water temp drops. any suggestions?

check the temp range on the mixing valve, some only go up to 110 degrees0 -
the paperwork
that came with it said the valve was set up for 130* from the factory. i shouldn't have to reduce the cold water flow coming into the tank & valve should i?0 -
The 5000 Specs
I have show a max 10.6 gpm (1/2 & 3/4") flow rate. The schematic shows a flow regulator installed in the cold water line before the heater & 5000.

You may need to raise the indirect temperature
should be a chart with the mix valve that tells you what temperature you need on the hot side to get various mix temperature. I know the Honeywell/Sparco mix valves come with a temperature adjusting guide.
