i just replaced my old boiler with a new munchkin and super stor indirect. i installed a taco 5000 mixing valve on the on the hot water discharge. the tank is maintaining 140* temp and i have the valve opened fully but i am only getting 110* domestic water. i know the valve is working because if i adjust it to mix, the discharge water temp drops. any suggestions?

check the temp range on the mixing valve, some only go up to 110 degrees

    the paperwork

that came with it said the valve was set up for 130* from the factory. i shouldn't have to reduce the cold water flow coming into the tank & valve should i?

I have show a max 10.6 gpm (1/2 & 3/4") flow rate. The schematic shows a flow regulator installed in the cold water line before the heater & 5000.

You may need to raise the indirect temperature

should be a chart with the mix valve that tells you what temperature you need on the hot side to get various mix temperature. I know the Honeywell/Sparco mix valves come with a temperature adjusting guide.
