    small temp probe in temp well

    i have a small temp probe for a temperature well in a storage tank. the diameter of the temp probe is much smaller than the diameter of the temperature well (3/4" male fitting) and was looking for a way to ensure good contact between the probe and well. i thought of mineral oil but don't know if that would eventually eat away the wires coming into the probe. any ideas? thanx in advance

    Small probe in large well

    Honeywell makes a conductive paste for that very purpose. It is messy, so wear your latex gloves while inserting the paste! You can find it at most supply houses that carry HVAC supplies.

    What is the diameter of the probe? MAMAC Systems has some nice wells.
