Is it code worthy in New York to tee off a pig tail to provide operational pressure from boiler to the operational pressure switch as well as the manual reset pressure switch?

Yes, unless there was a code change....But best to have two pig tails. Pig tails plug up .0 -
trap 3/4 \" vs. 1/4 \"
on some larger installations i have recently seen traps fabricated with full 3/4 " b.m. fittings in lieu of a conventional pigtail syphon trap . a little more work but sure won't jam up too quickly.0
