cleaning oil furnace blower wheel

Please advise of solvent to use for cleaning blower wheel and housing for oil furnace. Cleaners for automobile use seem to hang around and stink up the house.

a rag, a brush and a vac do the trick. I don't like to spray anything in there. Only thing I do is oil the motor if it has a port...scrape out the fin's and vac it up..:)
On a safety note, make sure you have the power off before you stick your finger's in anywhere!!!!0 -
I remove the motor, use a bottle type brush on the wheel (the same size one I use for gauge glasses). If it is oily and needs to be cleaned with solvent then there is an oil leak that needs to be addressed.
