Gravity flow through circ pump?

in THE MAIN WALL
Is there any need to add a zone valve to prevent gravity flow through a circulator pump on a hot start (tankless coil in use) boiler? The system I thinking of was originally gravity - now forced - so much of the piping is designed for and probably encouraging gravity flow. It is one zone so no zone valves.

    You need a flow check, or IFC pump.

    been there,
    you do need a flow check on the main or your customer will call about 6 hrs after you leave complaining the heat will not shut off
