Hi those of you who have PB systems that have lasted over 12 years, what are the other components of your system (ie. boiler, expansion tank, pump, heat exhanger) and how have you maintained it? Thanks

You don't want to know. It shouldn't work but it does. Jerry0 -
for the most part
for the most part, we've had to isolate the PB portion of the system with a heat exchanger with non ferrous components on the PB side of things.
Once the PB has been separated from the ferrous part of the system, I've seen less component replacements.

Check my post earlier on pb pipe. Our shop boiler is a Glowcore(#@%*!) that we bought back from an unhappy customer. It works fine for us. I think any non-ferrous boiler would work well. We used a standard Amtrol pressure tank and put No-Burst anti freeze in it.0
