My heating for my house was converted to hydronic heatin/cooling. My HVAC man suggested for 4 zones with air handlers' tonnage at 12, the boiler size to be 294,158 btus. My plumber recently installed a new boiler with btus at 347,000. Is that too large? The boiler installed is Peerless with carlsin burner and storage tank at 60gal. thanks for your response.

The time
to do a heat loss is before an installation, the only way to determine proper sizing is to perform a heat loss calculation which will tell what you need. With relatively tight construction 350k BTU/Hr will heat an awesomely sized house, substantially bigger than your garden variety 5k sq/ft McMansion
