What is the best way to test a F & T Trap when they were installed without valves or a test tee?

testing traps
Without a test tee or a union on the discharge side, temperature or a stethescope is about the only way. IF you've got a temperature tester with bulb, strap in on the discharge. You'll get a temp rise when the trap dumps. The stethescope will allow you to actually hear the trap dump.
