You also just described all steam and gravity hot water systems especially if they're coal or wood fired.

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

But but Chrisj, with those systems you cannot sit in your kitchen and watch the fire flicker!!

    Happy Halloween,

having a coal stoker fired overhead gravity hot water system is the ideal but I will settle for my 225 feet of 3/4" fin tube baseboard in this poorly insulated house.

I do not miss making or buying firewood one bit, nor dealing with a firewood dealer that marks up his poorly split firewood 600%+, then buries his 10-wheel truck in my front yard and never offered to pay for the damage he made after he walked on the lawn and saw no problem with moving the truck to my wood dump pile. He lost my business after that when I found out he was buying culled logs for $33.00 per ton.

He fails to realize that he can sell firewood by the ton legally with no arguments about volume or "seasoning".

Please remember set your clocks back one hour tonight.

    It's just a baby bear.

I haven't had time to restore it yet.
