Slant Fin TR20 Oil to Propane Conversion Options

Options

I'm weighing my options for oil to propane conversion. I have a 10 year old Slant Fin TR20 that has served us well no issues and would like to convert to propane to get rid of old oil tanks in basement. I already have propane running to my water heater right next to boiler so should be easy connect. The Slant Fin TR20 is not listed on the Carlin gas conversion Burner Selction guide, only TR30 and TR40. Is it possible to convert this boiler? It currently has a Beckett AFG oil burner. TIA for any recomendations.

That’s gonna be up to the burner manufacture to decide.

Riello and Beckett also make conversion burners. Check with them.

Send an email to Carlin tech support and tell them what you have, what you want to do, and what burner if any they recommend.

I agree with the above posts. Call Carlin & or Beckett and ask.

Carlin has a spec for the Weil-McLain GO-2, so they should be able to come up with something for your TR-20.
