General Fittings Tankless Heater
I have a 1933 Burnham Series G boiler i was asking questions about in the post below. I've been some more cleaning up and research and I am having trouble locating information on my tankless water heater.
All i can make out is that it is a General Fittings Tankless Heater and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what its ratings or identification are?
I think it has a massive capacity, way more then I need for hot water.
I've attached a bunch of pictures.
Thank you very much,
Jim

I'd insulate it, unless you really want the heat in the room too.

That's a side shot. I don't know the GPM, but its a lot to heat for strictly domestic hot water when its not heating season. Cut it, cap it, scrap it, and get an electric tank or tankless or heat pump.

I was actually thinking it was large enough to run some hydronic heating loops, I figure that there is a LOT of energy hiding in that big boiler, its essentially a large buffer tank in between firings. Instead of putting that energy into the basement, I'd like to use this tankless to run three hydronic zones at about 45k btu/hr total load. It seems more then large enough for that purpose, but I was trying to find more specs about it.
I will of course insulate it once I re-plumb it.

You can use that heater for hydronic zones.
Just keep 1 thought in mind if you do that. There is a MILE of copper tubing inside that which has a bit of pressure drop which will have to be considered when you select a circulator.
I had a similar job with a tankless like that that for 20 years they complained about the lack of heat and they were using a TACO 110 circ which was woefully inadequate. use caution.
