Unclogging drain from Unico air handler
As a homeowner, should I be expected to unclog drain from Unico air handler for my high velocity air conditioning? This is the third summer in a row that water in the drip pan has caused the air conditioning to shut down. I am waiting for service tech to arrive. I have the Unico system maintained every spring and insist that the service tech make sure drain is clear.
Should I just schedule a service call every August (in addition to the spring maintenance) without waiting for the pan to fill with water and shut down the unit?

the drain on my personal unit needs to be vacuumed annually.

Someone has to clean it so you can schedule a service call and make sure they do it or do it yourself.
It does seem to be plugging up more often than usual. What is it plugging with and are the air filters being maintained?

perhaps you have a poorly designed condensate drain. Is there a trap in the line close to the air handler? Is there a proper vent after the trap? Can you post a photo?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

I have a 5” media filter
All ducts are sealed
There’s a slime buildup. I see it all the time. Common.
