    need more information. pictures? usually they screw on with a metal ring.

    If you are talking about the black (silver) square shaped ones, if they come off it is most likely broken and will need to be replaced by the style 109-a showed. That black ( or silver) style is no longer available.If it is like the one he showed, then use his info to reset it.

    also if the pin is stuck it might push itself off
