Mitsubishi MLZ-KX ceiling cassettes pulling in attic air — anyone dealt with this?

Options

Have three Mitsubishi MLZ-KX ceiling cassettes (two 6,000 BTU, one 9,000 BTU) installed as part of a 4-zone H2i system. All three units are drawing in air from the attic when running — detectable by a strong attic smell from the vents. Installer came back and added sealant which helped but didn't fully resolve it.

Has anyone seen this with the MLZ-KX specifically? Where did the fix end up being?

unless the outside air port is open that shouldn’t happen.

Looks at the final post here on how to seal it up properly. The rigid should be sealed with canned foam to the drywall and joists. You want a nice air tight insulated lid over the unit in the attic.
